2016// Patrick Shay, Brian Stam, Dale Beasley and Chuck Teubner form Everywhere Communications and develop plan to acquire Raytheon Blackbird Technologies platform. Who believes they can convince to license $50M and 8 patents and no payments for two years in exchange for an ownership position in Everywhere. This is the first time in Raytheon history that they licensed technology. Patrick, Chuck, Dale and Brian work for two years to accomplish this outrageous goal. |

Patrick Shay, Founder and CEO
Patrick has over 30 years creating and leading businesses connecting vehicles, assets and people, generating over $1B in new revenue. Previously Patrick held senior executive positions at Orbcomm, Iridium, DeLorme, Sirius Satellite Radio and Motorola. "I attract brilliant innovators who create and launch revolutionary businesses. In leading these teams and building these organizations throughout my career we have successfully connected vehicles, assets & people and generated more than $1B in new revenue. Our Team
The Everywhere Communications team is headquartered in Annapolis, MD with a technology center in Portland, ME.
Mark McEneaney, CFO
Mark has more than 30 years of finance and accounting experience including 10 years at EY. Mark has since held several CFO positions in a variety of industries, including construction, technology, and business services, and raised in excess of $1B in private and public debt/equity. He led due diligence on more than 30 acquisition targets, successfully closing and integrating 8 of them over the course of his career.
Dale Beasley, Vice President of Products
Dale is a wireless industry veteran with over 25 years of experience in the development of mobile solutions in the location space for both Consumers, enterprise, and government customers. Dale spent 13 years at Verizon, where he launched VZ Navigator, the award-winning application that brought wireless navigation into the mainstream, lead their Enterprise and Government Products team, where he was responsible for developing custom solutions for both enterprises and the federal government, including launching the Voice Cypher encrypted voice and messaging solution. Dale initially spent 7 years in the defense industry, developing avionics systems for the F-16 and other fighter aircraft for General Dynamics, where he held a security clearance.
Brian Stam, Vice President of Engineering
Brian has worked to blend technical and business excellence with the management and team building skills to develop leading edge products. Brian has previously served as the engineering lead for DeLorme on the award winning InReach Satellite communicator. He has experience working in highly regulated fields including medical devices and non-medical safety-of-life devices including technology varying from Android and iOS apps to specialized laboratory equipment and high volume IOT devices
Chris Sluss, Vice President of Sales
Chris has over 30 years of experience in wireless communications, content licensing, and telematics, including data and voice communication systems. He has also managed the Motorola US Government messaging device business, with distribution to both the GSA and other direct and indirect US government customers.
Eric Semle, Director of Software Development
Eric has over 12 years of software development experience. He started his career in military contracting, focusing on mobile blue-force tracking, messaging, and augmented reality. Eric then moved to consumer products at Delorme working on the award winning inReach Satellite Communicator. He also has 4 years of experience working in the financial sector on mobile applications that support millions of users.
Dave Compere, Director of Sales – Enterprise Market
Dave has over 30 years of experience in the wireless arena including 2-way radio, Automatic Vehicle Location, RFID and IOT. He has lead several enterprise based initiatives with industry leaders such as Motorola, Navtrak and Link Labs focusing on both direct and indirect distribution.
Zach Magoon, Creative Director
For over 20 years, Zach has directed award-winning creative in the financial, fashion, technology and medical sectors. Working for agencies in Boston and Portland, he managed web, print, photography, branding, application and UI/UX design projects for companies such as Levi’s, Fidelity Investments, Walmart, L.L.Bean, Olympus, Partners Healthcare, TD Bank, Con-way and WEX. From concepting and brainstorming, to implementing solutions across any medium or industry, Zach has done it all
Amy Helie, QA Lead
Amy has almost 20 years experience in Quality Assurance and has worked in the financial, mapping and retail sectors. Amy spent 13 years at DeLorme where she worked on consumer products working with the inReach Satellite communicator and as the QA Team Leader for the professional product line. She also spent 5 years working at L.L. Bean on the mobile website and the mobile applications. Amy has also served on the Board of Directors for two non-profit organizations
Cal Cassidy, Deployment Program Manager
Cal has over 35 years of experience delivering complex solutions and products to the commercial and defense markets. Mr. Cassidy joined Aether Systems, a Wireless Data startup, as the VP of Enterprise Solutions which provided real-time financial wireless solutions to Reuters, Discover Brokerage, and Charles Schwab, and was part of the Executive Team that had a successful IPO in 1999. Cal started his career at Westinghouse managing the development and deployment of software solutions for the F-16 fighter program.
Greg Lawler, Government Sales
Greg has over 25 years of experience in the federal government. He brings extensive leadership in national program management in Washington, D.C. for the Secretary of the Interior and the National Park Service as well as expertise managing public safety functions including law enforcement, security, emergency medicine, search & rescue and fire management in several of America's largest national parks
Scott Hopkins, Consultant
Scott has over 30 years of technology analysis, implementation, product development, and business management experience in the national security and commercial sectors. Scott spent over 10 years at Blackbird Technologies, where he was responsible for managing the development of the Tagging Tracking Location (TTL) hardware and software technologies
Julia Wilton, Marketing Consultant
Julia has over 20 years experience as a senior marketing and communications executive with both public and private organizations, such as Iridium, Aireon, WorldCell, Stratos and STEM for Her. Her leadership of award-winning campaigns has garnered international recognition and produced tide-turning results that helped fuel corporate growth, inclusive of successfully leading marketing through Iridium’s global repositioning and subsequent IPO. Julia is a member of The Leadership Foundry Planning Committee, and a mentor with the American Marketing Association.

John Belcher : John is the former Chairman and CEO of ARINC, which he sold in 2014, and is the former CEO of Hughes Aircraft of Canada. He has extensive experience in the aviation, aerospace, airports, information technology, communications and defense industries. He presently serves on the boards of 8 high tech companies in 4 countries and is an investor in each and is the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Anne Arundel Health Systems.
Dan Colussy: Dan is the Chairman of Gemini Capital, a Venture Capital Fund investing in new technologies. He is the former Chairman of Iridium Satellite, which he took out of bankruptcy in 2000 and rebuilt into a global and profitable satellite network providing communications services for over one million customers worldwide. Took Iridium public in 2009. Dan is the former Chairman and CEO of UNC Inc., which he sold to General Electric in 1998. Prior to that, Dan was Chairman and CEO of Canadian Pacific Airlines and was the President of Pan American World Airways.
Carolyn Groobey: Carolyn is an investor/advisor to the FounderTrac business accelerator and in several additional start-up companies. Previously she was a Vice President of Product Development at PayPal and Bill Me Later and a partner in McKinsey & Company, where she worked with many of the leaders in the data communications industry, including mobile, satellite, cable, and big data companies. She is currently the Vice Chairman of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and a member of Oceana’s Ocean Council. She and her husband have done over 25,000 miles of ocean cruising on their boat Toccata and are avid users of satellite voice and data products.
Chuck Teubner: Chuck is a Director and CEO Advisor at Fonteva and Perceptics. He is the former CEO, COO and Chairman of numerous VC/PE early stage companies. Chuck was the Chairman of Skybitz, a satellite asset tracking company sold to Tellular. In addition, he was the Chairman of SpringCM, a SaaS enterprise content management software company recently acquired by Docusign. Chuck brings a great deal of expertise in building early stage venture-backed technology companies.
